Because the Sound of Music movie ends, we see the von Trapp household climbing the Untersberg mountain peaks as they journey to safety. The view is spectacular and your heart soars as they “climb every mountain” to freedom! But as incessantly occurs in movies, this telling of their escape is only a bit larger than life, especially considering the fact that if that they had certainly escaped through this mountain trail they’d have put themselves solely minutes away from Hitler’s notorious “Eagles’ Nest” hideaway!
